The seniors boys went into the game full of confidence after an impressive month. The boys came out firing kicking 5 goals to 2 in the first quarter. They continued to pile on the goals in the second quarter taking a 56 point lead into the main break. The work on Brayden Dorrington and Nick Knight done back was unreal, giving the forwards many opportunities to hit to the scorebaord. At 3 quarter time the ball game was over and it was all about weeks. Weeksy needing 5 goals in the last to reach the ton for the year. He went 1 better snagging 6 for the quarter and reaching the fantastic milestone. Weeks became the 1st player from Rochy to bag 100 in a year and broke the record for the most goals in a game held by Anthony “Tank” McPhee. At the full time siren the biys had triumphed by 90 points, Final score 23.13.151 to 9.7.61.
Goal Kickers: Grant Weeks 14, Chris Sanders 2, Locky Sirett 2, Dylan Cuttriss 2, Adam Ward , Nick Knight, Thom Hill 1.
Best Players: Grant Weeks, Brayden Dorrington, Brady Green, Nick Knight, Sammy Brennan, Chris Sanders.
Perfect day for netball that was played at the Echuca united courts with new game times worked a treat as spectators could get the legs out on the grassy hill & netballers finish earlier to get back to the footy & experience some winning feeling!
In all games it was the defence end that had to work overtime against Echuca’s slick shooters.
